For the third month in a row, The Grand Rapids Association of Realtors reports home sales in April were up from a year ago. 1,021 homes were sold in the month of April, a 21 percent increase from April of 2008. Average home prices are remaining on the decline.
Agents feel that the statistics are a reflection of the new first time home buyer tax credit low interest rates effectiveness.
